FoVGC representatives had a positive meeting with Country Club representatives (President - Bob Proudfoot, CEO - Ben Clegg and Deputy CEO - Luke Hodges) on Wednesday 3rd April 2024.

At the meeting it was made clear by the Country Club that negotiations with a seniors living provider were at an advanced stage and they were not at liberty to discuss commercial details at this point in time. They hope to progress those negotiations in the next couple of weeks.

The Country Club representatives made a commitment to a consultation period before any member vote is held to declare the land to be sold as Non-Core. Full information on the proposed development will be made available, including options, concept plans and financial aspects. Consultation will include meeting with members, sub-clubs, community representative bodies (such as Vincentia Matters and Vincentia Ratepayers and Residents Association), and directly with impacted land owners adjoining the development.

There will also be a second round of engagement when the proposed development reaches the DA stage.
